1
We map your farmField boundaries, obstacles and water points are surveyed once with RTK, to the centimetre. The maps are yours to keep for planning, and every later flight follows the same route.
2
We fly your productsYou supply the seed, fertiliser or chemical and set the rate per acre. We mix at the batching point, fly the mission and refill automatically until the block is done.
3
You get the recordFor every field: what was applied, at what rate, how much, and when. Season after season that log shows which inputs paid for themselves, so yields rise on knowledge, not guesswork.

Counters assume 15 L/ha and a 70 L tank: this 10-acre strip is about 11 minutes of flying on one tank. Illustrative field layout.

Why KEA

What you get from a licensed, airline-grade operator.

All legal

Registered aircraft, licensed remote pilots, UCAA flight approvals and insurance on every job. Products applied according to their labels, with buffer zones and re-entry intervals planned. Your farm's name stays off the incident report.

No regulatory or liability exposure from an unlicensed operator on your land.

Quality control

Calibrated aircraft, checked before each flight. Spray volume held to within 10% of the rate you specify. Wind limits, droplet size and flight height set for the product and the neighbours, by a pilot who can say no.

The rate you paid for is the rate that lands on the crop. No drift onto the neighbour's field.

Information you can act on

Field maps you keep, and a per-field record of every application: product, rate, volume, time. Compare blocks and seasons, see what paid off, and plan next season's inputs with evidence.

Every season starts with last season's data, not guesswork.

Aviation safety culture

The safety management system, maintenance discipline and reporting that keep KEA's aircraft flying for the UN and TotalEnergies, applied to your farm's drone work. Our own licensed engineers service the drones in KEA's approved workshop at Kajjansi with DJI parts, so the aircraft that arrives is maintained, calibrated and ready to fly.

A crew that turns up, flies safely around your people and power lines, and does not cut corners.

The aircraft

The aircraft we bring to your farm: DJI Agras T70P.

DJI Agras T70P

What it means in your field

70-litre tank, 70 kg hopperAbout ten acres of spraying per tank at 15 L/ha, and the same aircraft spreads granular fertiliser and seed. One crew, every job in your calendar.
4–11 m swath, up to 30 L/minAround 40 acres an hour with water close by, so a 250-acre block is done in two days, at the growth stage your agronomist asked for.
RTK positioning, radar and visionCentimetre-accurate passes with no overlaps and no gaps, holding height over slopes, terraces and tall crops. The rate you specify is the rate that lands.
Night capableWe can fly when the wind drops and the bees are home, which is when deposition is best and drift onto the neighbours is lowest.

KEA is also DJI Agriculture's approved dealer for Uganda, so the aircraft on your farm are maintained and supported by us with factory parts and training at Kajjansi. Specifications: DJI Agriculture, 2025.

What changes on your farm

Six gains, with the evidence behind each.

Yields up

+12.7% rice yield and 22% higher net return with drone application in a 2026 trial. Even cover, on time, across the whole block.

Water usage down

15 L per hectare instead of 500. No more hauling 25 jerrycans of mixing water to the field for every hectare sprayed.

Product savings

20–30% less chemical in field programmes, with the same control. Precise swaths, no double-spraying, no run-off.

Applied on time

250 acres in two days, not two weeks. Pests, disease and weeds are hit in the window that matters, before they cost you yield.

People back on the farm

A spray gang of eight becomes one KEA crew. Your team goes to weeding, harvest and expansion, and nobody walks in the spray cloud.

Farm data up

A record for every field, every application. Maps, rates, volumes and dates you keep, so next season's inputs are planned on evidence.

1Uganda's commercial farms still spray with knapsack gangs and tractors. It takes weeks, and the crop's application window is missed.
2KEA is an airline with a UCAA drone certificate. From Kajjansi we bring DJI Agras aircraft to farms across Uganda.
3We map your fields once, then fly your products at your rates. A 25-acre block in under half an hour, with a tenth of the water.
4Same control, less product, no wheel tracks, nobody in the spray cloud. Every tank logged by field, so next season starts with data.
5Hire it by the acre from UGX 30,000. Call +256 750 980 683 or email UASOPS@flykea.com to arrange your first farm visit and application.
