Privacy Notice
How Kampala Executive Aviation collects, uses and protects personal information.
This notice explains what personal information KEA collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, our quotation tools and the KEA Trade & Agent Portal.
Who we are
Kampala Executive Aviation (“KEA”, “we”) is a Ugandan CAA-licensed aircraft operator, AOC 097, based at Gate 1, Kajjansi Airfield, Kampala, Uganda. For any privacy question contact reservations@flykea.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries and quotations — your name, company, email, phone and the details of the flight you ask about.
- Trade portal accounts — agency name, contact name, email, phone, address, country, website and your agency logo. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored only as secure one-way hashes; KEA never sees them.
- Portal activity — the quotes you generate and booking requests you submit, so you can review them and so we can service your bookings and improve our pricing and capacity planning.
- Website analytics — aggregated usage data via Google Analytics, such as pages viewed and general location. This is statistical and is not used to identify you personally.
Why we use it
To prepare quotations, arrange and operate flights, meet aviation safety and regulatory obligations, manage trade accounts, respond to enquiries, and improve our services. We rely on your consent where you contact us, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the business. Passenger details supplied for a flight are processed because they are necessary to perform the charter contract and to satisfy aviation safety requirements.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary: our operations and reservations teams; airport, handling and immigration authorities where a flight requires it; regulators; and service providers who host our website, database and email. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Agency net rates and margins are confidential and are visible only to the agency concerned and authorised KEA staff.
Where it is stored
Our website is hosted on Vercel and our portal database with Supabase, hosted in the European Union. Data may be processed outside Uganda by these providers under their standard contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and quotation records are kept while the commercial relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting, safety and legal purposes. Flight and safety records are retained for the periods required by aviation regulation. You may ask us to close a trade account at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete information we no longer need to keep. Trade agents can update their own agency details and logo at any time in the portal. To make a request, email reservations@flykea.com.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of essential items: a secure session token so the trade portal can keep you signed in, local storage so the charter calculator works offline, and Google Analytics cookies for aggregated statistics. You can clear or block these in your browser, though the portal will not stay signed in without its session token.
Changes
We may update this notice as our services develop. The version in force is the one published here.
