Kampala Executive Aviation has been appointed an authorised DJI dealer in Uganda, working with RC Corner of the United Arab Emirates as Master Distributor. The appointment brings DJI’s agricultural and enterprise drone range to Ugandan operators with local sales, local technical support and local warranty-backed servicing — rather than the overseas shipping and long turnarounds that have characterised the market until now.
The dealership sits naturally alongside KEA’s existing unmanned capability. The company holds a UAV Operating Certificate from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority and already flies the DJI Matrice 400 RTK on survey, LiDAR mapping and asset inspection work. Supporting other operators’ aircraft is an extension of engineering and airworthiness disciplines KEA has applied to crewed aircraft for more than two decades.
What we now offer
DJI drone sales. Supply of DJI aircraft to enterprise, agricultural and other approved segments — including the DJI Agras T70P for spraying, spreading and precision crop work, and the Matrice enterprise series for survey, inspection, security and emergency response. We advise on the right platform, payload and configuration for the job rather than selling from a catalogue.
After-sales customer support. Product guidance and set-up, operational troubleshooting, warranty enquiries and ongoing technical support — from people you can reach in Kampala.
Maintenance and repair. Technical inspection, fault diagnosis, scheduled maintenance, component replacement and repair, followed by post-repair testing and quality inspection before release. Work is carried out under both warranty and chargeable arrangements, with each aircraft booked in, tracked through the shop and formally released — the same documented flow KEA applies to aircraft maintenance.
DJI Academy training. Structured pilot and operator training aligned to DJI Academy requirements and Ugandan regulatory provisions, so crews are both competent on type and compliant to fly.
Why it matters for Ugandan operators
Agriculture, surveying, construction, conservation, energy and security are all adopting unmanned aircraft faster than the local support base has grown. An aircraft grounded by a damaged arm or a failed ESC has too often meant weeks out of service. With DJI parts, trained technicians and a warranty channel held in-country, that downtime shortens considerably.
The appointment was led by Joseph Mbabazi, Head of KEA’s UAV Department, who skilfully navigated the dealership process through DJI and RC Corner’s accreditation requirements to secure the authorisation for Uganda.
Dealership training with DJI and RC Corner is underway, with sales and technical teams being brought onto type ahead of a full service launch.
