On 2 November 2018, KEA launched scheduled domestic flights under its subsidiary FlyUganda.
The move was made to meet the demand for scheduled flights to major tourism destinations in Uganda. The first route launched was Kajjansi–Kihihi, with future plans to expand to Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth. FlyUganda also continues to offer fixed-wing and helicopter charter flights to all locations in Uganda and East Africa.
